SUPPORTERS OF THE YORK MODEL RAILWAY SHOW

Organisations actively supporting the Show include:-

The Ebor Group of Railway Modellers
| Island Publishing | Warley MRC | Hull MRS
plus other supporting clubs and individuals.

The page has been semi-dormant for some time but was reactivated over the summer of 2014 although updates are infrequent. As at 8 July 2014 all links were either working or moved to the Where've they gone? / pending deletion section. .

However please remember, if the link is broken, the 3rd party has made the change since our last update, link checks are rarely done as it isn't our fault if the link is broken by changes at the linked to end!

Notes:-

Email links: These have not been retested for currency.

FOTOPIC - links shown below to known Fotopic hosted sites are in the Where've they gone section because the organisation went bust! They remain listed in the pending deletion section as you may wish to search for any replacement galleries with the same/similar names. There may well be more; unfortunately as there is a message on the old site URLs the auto links checker used finds that message (which obviously it can't read) and therefore does not report them up as dead site errors.

Screen sizes - The next action will be rebuilding the page to accommodate wide screens and mobile phones. Layout below has been centred in hope this cures the issues of word wrap etc in the immediate short term.

Update policy, recent changes to this page etc.

Update cycle:-

All links are scanned from time to time using link checking software. Any links reported by the checking software as faulty are then checked manually and either repaired or moved into the "where have they gone" section pending deletion. However before you shout at me/us please remember that a dead link is entirely the fault of the site that has gone without leaving a forwarding message on their old site!  If you maintain a website please remember that we don't know if you move home and cannot mind read!

Where information is found on outdated links giving the replacement URL the link is corrected.  A big thank you to those sensible webmasters.  Unfortunately I do find messages like this "This website has been removed. If you have a bookmark or a link to this page, please remove these as this page will disappear shortly."   From time to time content on pages changes, for example a URL is sold/is for sale and I apologise for instances where this is not spotted; as the URL exists the checking software does not spot that as a fault.

Recent activity on this page -

8 July 2014

1) Resumption of checking process (see 26 June). Recheck and continuation of action from where that day's exercise ended.

26 June 2014

1) - Automatic link checker processed.  Opening run - All pages were listed as giving a live response by the link checking software except for a few entries. Due to time constraints approximately half were either repaired or moved into the Where have they gone to? section above the remainder will be assessed in due course.

2) All dead entries recorded from previous checks, were again reported back dead, and were deleted as obsolete.
