Another IT glitch due to bad systems

Grumpy old man mode!

Yet another IT systems c**k up this time with a swap of service providers (BBand and phone). Dead easy, swapping is the way forward, OFCOM have made it simple etc., etc., say the ads. B******s to that. Not the first post here on this blog about poor IT systems and it won’t be the last.

New service provider fails to send out the necessary statutory form for us to sign so that it can be sent to the existing provider as authority to cancel. They, however, go ahead anyway with installing the new. As of today the new fibre BB works, albeit 24 hours late, as the installers wired it up wrong at the pole connection!

The problem no phone swap as the new firm forgot to send us the necessary statutory form (They have confirmed that) so Sky cannot disconnect.

New firm have not only billed us for the internet but also for a phone line that we can’t use because due to their error it can’t be connected. Also we are still having to pay Sky because they can’t disconnect. Invoice obviously now challenged.

Not a happy bunny Jurassic-Fibre.
