A day of very mixed emotions. As an adopted child I have always had a full and loving family but until recently had almost no knowledge of any blood line relatives beyond my birth mother’s details. Through ancestry research/DNA test results I have discovered she had a sister and I have now made contact with two blood line cousins with families.
Sad I never knew of them before, sad I never met my birth mother despite trying to (badly let down by the system), still aware of some highly significant blood line gaps but on the positive side I now know more than I have in the past.
Very strange, and too early in the process to know where it might get to next.
John. Mabel Crosse was my Aunt, so you are my cousin. You might’ve spoken to Karen, my sister. I would be delighted to meet you. David.
